Ron Howard About Me

I was born in 1956 in a small town in Missouri. I had three sisters and no brothers. I grew up, finished High School, and attended three colleges. I was married in 1982 and my first marriage lasted two years. I had written some poems in high school, and wrote love poems to my wife. I was divorced in 1985, while living in another small town in Missouri. I joined the Missouri Army National Guard because I needed something to do with myself. I lived with roommates a few times since then, but always single. I helped start a singles ministry where I live now in 2005. I met my present wife while we were members of that singles ministry. The singles ministry had monthly events that we all went to and a monthly restaurant outing. We got to know each other over three years before I asked her out. After I asked her out, I started writing poetry again. It was the first time I had written poetry in almost twenty years! Those first poems have been collected, some personal, some to be published in another book. The current poems I have been writing are political or historical and all patriotic and about our spiritual heritage. My wife says those early love poems I wrote her and the poems I wrote to our friends, were just preliminary to the poems I'm writing now. I would have to agree. The book I published to Kindle is called, "Poems from God to America", because I felt inspired to write those poems. Some of them I woke up at 4am to write.
